Apple’s messy podcast subscription service
Apple Podcasts Subscriptions is a service Apple launched earlier this year so that podcasters could “offer paid subscriptions” and “put on a show like never before.” I almost signed up for it immediately — I have had podcast ambitions continuously since their debut — and I’m sooo relieved that I didn’t, because it is not going well. Jason Snell on how much of a mess it is:
