Blocking YouTube ads

The 1Blocker extension for Safari has a new trick: blocking YouTube ads!

In the last year or so, YouTube ads have become the first TV-like adverts I’ve been unable to avoid in, oh, easily 20 years now? My content hasn’t been sullied by unskippable ads since pre-TiVo cable. And I do not like it. Actually becoming sickeningly familiar with campaigns for a product that isn’t even remotely meant for me… obnoxious ad jingles stuck in my head… content I’m enjoying jarringly interrupted… UGH!

So this YouTube ad blocking feature is kind of a big deal. I have been happy with 1Blocker for ages, it blocks a lot of web 💩. But this is on another level.
