HTTP/2 is going to change the Internet
HTTP/2 is going to change the Internet quite a bit. My translation of the dorkspeak:
The Internet as we know it has to move stuff around one. piece. at. a. time. It used to be good enough. The old HTTP protocol was built at a time when a web page with one picture was pretty cool (and slow). But it stopped being good enough many years ago, and web developers have had a lot of painful hassles trying to cope with the limitations. The new protocol, HTTP/2, will allow us to deliver everything a webpage needs all at once, in parallel. Which is definitely going to change how we build websites.
Pretty cool. And much, much faster than we’ve gotten used to in the last few years.
