Hypercanes

What a haunting image: an immense hurricane that lasts for weeks, months, years… 😲

I need to add “hypercanes” to my list of exotic/extreme things that may have been “normal” at some point in the deep history of our planet. (Yes, I think I will publish that list at some point.)

Although, to be clear, if hypothetical hypercanes existed all, there was probably nothing “normal” about them. Most likely they would have occured only in the context of epic climate forces in the aftermath of, say, big meteor impacts.

But it’s still a dazzling idea.
