Keyboard condoms ∞

Apple just announced that it will repair MacBook Pro keyboards at no charge if you get a dead key — something that happens way too often with the new keyboards. Still a pain in the arse if it happens, but at least you won’t have to PAY for it too.

I haven’t had any trouble with my vulnerable keyboard in a while. But then again I’ve also had it in a keyboard condom for ages — one of those thin silicone covers. Don’t be silly, wrap that willy! But it’s hard to feel my keyboard, y’know? Safety first, though. (“Plus you last longer typing,” as a @emd pointed out.)
