Octopus attack on a seagull

This is a great little tooth-and-claw nature story, but I was particularly interested because I know the spot super well. I have walked on the James Bay breakwater in Victoria a lot, probably a few hundred of times (and in some spectacular weather conditions). It’s certainly true that you often see ocean life there, but alas I have never seen any octopus, let alone a big one, let alone one drowning a seagull. Neat. I heard about this from Caustic Soda: The Podcast, my source for all things dire and oogy.
