Proof of progress
One of my favourite things: easily doing what was once hard or impossible. Proof of progress, of strength, of skill, in fitness or rehab, or sport, or anything. (“Or psychotherapy outcomes!” chimes in my psychologist friend.) Yep, that too!)
It’s interesting to be defeated by something and yet know that you will, almost certainly, master it another day. I love the tension of that! “I can’t do this right now. Or probably next week either. Maybe not even next month. But in six months? In six months, I will crush it.”
