Return vs Enter on Facebook

Dear Facebook,

Do not try to screw with the meaning of my “return/enter” key.

Your new enter-to-comment “feature” seriously violates some basic usability principles: never screw with something that people already understand and use happily, comfortably, and habitually. Don’t take such a thing away, and ESPECIALLY don’t make it do something completely different and at odds with what we are wired to expect.

This is guaranteed to make people crazy.

And angry.

We have been using our enter keys to make carriage returns for a long, long time. And we will be long after your goofy little experiment is over.
